Technology is vital to today's students and it is a major component missing in our school library. I have moved to a new Media Center this year and have found that we have a major lack of technology. There are no Tablets or IPad's that can be spared to use in the Media Center and the technology we have is limited to very outdated non-portable computers. The addition of Fire Tablets to our library will serve us in a variety of ways and will be used to enhance student learning not just through Osmo materials selected for this Donor's Choose request but for additional projects in the Media Center using green screens, E-Books, research based activities and so more.
The Osmo materials requested are highly interactive and will engage and enhance learning for all of our very diverse student body. The highly visual and physically interactive Osmo program can reach our youngest student and still engage our oldest. The requested programs will build problem solving, team building, and art skills, while enhancing learning and addressing State and Common Core Standards. The Osmo activities engage and enhance learning for both struggling and advance learners and allow for individual and collaborative activities.
