The gateway to the world of Biology and Life Science is the microscope. Currently, my students have 1 microscope to share for every 5 students in a class.
These microscopes will open the door for students to view pond and river water as they have never seen it before, despite living in a town with a river running through. It will also let them view plants and animals at a level that they have never even imagined, living or preserved on a slide.
We will even expand our inquiries into the world of chemistry by looking at materials under magnification.
