Mental health is not something that is talked about in brown and black communities, let alone with black and brown children. Having access to these materials will better equip students to access knowledge about themselves and their bodies so they can better care for themselves and educate their families and community about the importance of caring for and listening to the wisdom that is not only in their minds but in their bodies.
Students understanding and having access to yoga in school will empower their minds, hearts, and bodies by teaching them how to express and physically process their emotions in healthy ways.
