We are requesting comfy floor seats and balance ball seats. These materials will truly change my classroom environment. I added four large pillows sewn by my mother in law in the partner reading section and my students would beg to go read! They were completely immersed in the book they were reading on those four measly pillows. I can only imagine what flexible seating will help my students accomplish.
This is a first at my school and I’m hoping with help from you that it will start a trend in our school. Flexible seating allows students to work more efficiently because they are comfortable at their workspace. They love group work spread all over the floor, but who wants their children or students to have to sit on a cold tile floor? My students would work harder and be more creative thinkers when they are working in a space they appreciate! Flexible seating will also teach my students to make wiser decisions and become more responsible for their workspaces. What’s better than learning and becoming more responsible? Please make this dream come true for my students and future students!
