I want to create an inviting and comfortable classroom where students want to be! Sitting in regular plastic chairs all day can be very uncomfortable for students. I want to give my students options with seating that is most comfortable for them. Providing flexible seating will allow students to be more comfortable and give them the opportunity to move around while working. Having wobble chairs, stools, and wobble cushions will give my energetic students freedom to move around and be comfortable while staying focused. There are many benefits to flexible seating beyond comfort and movement. The new seating will also allow students to collaborate with one another on different projects and assignments. Flexible seating forms a better community by allowing students to share space and supplies with the group as a whole.
