We used to have a carpet, but unfortunately, it was cheap and hazardous. The rug kept slipping and was torn off the floor.
We have a meeting every morning. We tell each other good morning and answer a question of the day. This is an opportunity for students to tell a little more about themselves and to start the day on a good note. No matter what happens outside of school, students are able to step into a safe space and express themselves.
Students just want to be heard. This carpet will give students the chance to get to know one another. It will also be used for reading, responsive classroom, and indoor recess time.
About my class
