Many of my students enjoy taking notes and completing assignments that are hands-on and engaging. Through visuals and color, students pay more attention to the skill that is being taught rather than if they were copying words from a text into their notebooks. With determined sixth graders, I want to allow my students to be creative when learning in the classroom.
The Crayola crayons, markers, and colored pencils will allow my students to get creative and make learning colorful when working in their interactive notebooks. Chart paper markers will allow students to have visuals around the classroom. When it comes to editing and revising peer work, red pens are an easy way for students to easily visualize feedback and edits in their work.
A classroom should be a place where students are eager to go and learn. It should be colorful, cozy, and creative. It should show how bright the future is for every student that enters.
