My students will be working very hard on their literacy skills this year. I would like to provide them with a variety of text to spark their interest in reading. Independent reading is one of our planned literacy stations, and I need plenty of books that interest and encourage them. My students will need all the books they can read and this project will help get them started. Of course, a place to keep them organized and protected will be the perfect addition to my classroom. As they learn to care for the books I know their love for reading will increase also.
