With these new books added to my library, my students will become more excited about reading. These books offer variety in topic and reading level, and allow students to have more options. The best way to increase student achievement and reading ability is to have students read books that interest them. When students are excited about what they are reading, they invest more time and effort into the assignment/activity. When students are disinterested in what they are reading, they often times do not finish the book or merely skim not getting richness of the author's message. These books will add to a collection that his high interest, and therefore students will become more invested in their education.
