Learning how to read is an important life long skill! The flashlights and lanterns will help create a fun way for my students to practice this skill with their classmates. Each Friday we will turn out the classroom lights, pick a perfect spot to read by flashlight and share a book (that has been practiced that week) with a friend. The lanterns will be used at the guided reading table while I share instruction with a small group of students. I try to make reading an exciting adventure. What better way than to camp out in a comfy spot on a Friday and share a good book with a friend!
