I am a first grade teacher. This will be my second year teaching first grade. I began teaching first grade last year when I was 22 years old right out of college. I work in an inner city school and the resources are limited. I’ve had to create a lot of my math and literacy centers. Having these centers in my classroom would be so beneficial to target those essential skills my students need. My classroom library is also limited and trying to build book bins for my students has been a challenge. Lastly, the Elmo would be perfect for my classroom. It would make it much easier for students to stay attentive and focused. I have tried to replicate many things I am teaching on the white board for students to follow along with, but that isn’t always the most effective. I care so much for my students I would love to provide them with the greatest materials I can to enhance their educational experience.
