I work in a title 1 low income school. We spend several hours a day on our classroom rug. We use it for calendar, phonics, reading, sharing time, and lots of hands on math. It is the center of our classroom learning. I have had the same rug for over ten years (and it was there six years before me). So we really need a new one for our classroom.
We gather on the carpet multiple times daily and share so much of ourselves there. I would love to have a carpet with the individual squares for the children to sit, so that they each have their own space. I also love having the alphabet around the outside, so we can sit around the edges for math time. Really looking forward to having a great space for learning!
