The materials that I am requesting are going to help my students learn more about Earth science. I would like for my students to see first hand how erosion works with these great erosion trays. My students will get to use real soil and watch what water can do when it flows slowly and then they will get to see what happens when there is a devastating flood. I am also going to have students make up a model in the trays that will include miniature trees and homes. It should be a fun experiment where we can get our hands dirty.
I would also like to get my students an Earth/moon model. Students really struggle with what causes seasons, eclipses, and the moon's phases. I feel like my students will get a better understanding of how these things happen when they can see a model of how it works.
By donating to our class, you are helping my students become more engaged, as well as helping my students understand Earth science even better than before. I strive to help my students become lifelong enthusiasts of science. Thank you for your support.
