An Apple iPad, Apple Pencil, Apple TV, and soundbar will be used by me, as the teacher, to integrate essential technology into an outdated classroom. As I enter my second year with this group, I have an outdated projector, laptop, and desktop, which require me to return to my desk in order to flip through a lesson, take attendance, or do any tech related sharing. Students need to have the close interaction as I walk around the classroom. With these tools, I can share a slideshow, real world situations or videos, have a nonpermanent surface to work with students, share files, and much, much more- all while closely interacting with students.
As our school is shifting back to in person learning, I want to give our students a quality educational experience by moving around the room and consistently interacting with them throughout each class period. Our students have been distance learning, and when they come back to the classroom this fall I want them to have the social and educational interactions they so desperately need.
Since social distancing is still necessary, students will be using technology at their desk to work in small groups. For this reason, I will need a way to "bring my desk with me". With these tools, students will have the chance to interact with me, share their ideas, ask for teacher help, and I can share my thoughts on their digital work no matter my location. For example, when we learn about geometric translations I will be able to actively see each groups work, notice new ideas, and immediately save it to share with the class later.
With your help, these resources would help provide an efficient, quality education to our classroom.
