On my list, you will see everything from flexible seating to STEM activities. Flexible seating allows students choice and ways to move their bodies without disturbing other's learning, while enhancing their learning. I believe flexible seating could allow for all types of learners to succeed in the classroom because in a typical classroom the only seating available is a hard chair or the floor and for a child with ADHD or a child that is just antsy (we all know or are one), a cushion on the floor, can be a learning lifesaver. For those that do not know, STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Just recently, many schools have been starting to incorporate STEM into their curriculum. Unfortunately my school does not, due to limited resources and time. But I hope to change this in my classroom. STEM, to me, allows for children to use their critical thinking skills in real world situations. STEM allows for students to learn team-work, communication, hypothesis, building, and so much more!
