A classroom rug creates an intimate environment for read-aloud story-telling, small group instruction, and mini-lessons! A classroom rug is essential for an elementary classroom. My students love sitting on the floor to do independent work with a clipboard, to hear a story read aloud to them and to wait their turn for Promethean Board work.
My students need and deserve a large classroom rug so that they can better experience various styles of classroom instruction. With hard, cold tile floors making up our classroom, a comfortable, large classroom rug is needed for those types of instruction!
My classroom is full of bright, energetic, and unique students who love flexible seating options, and who thrive from differentiated and varied instruction. A classroom rug would welcome them as they walk through the door and invite them to have a front-row seat to their own learning!
