The students last year fell in love with the book "Hoot". It is incredibly hard for lower leveled students to find the love of reading. I have a self- contained classroom ranging from 6 to 8 grade that have a hard time with fluency and comprehension. I want to continue the series with my students due to their continued love for this series. Our classroom will use the novels in group reads to allow our students to find and connect text to fluency along with comprehension growth within my classroom. It will also give my kids a chance to find the love of reading!

About my class
