Many of the children in my class are refugees, new to our country and thankful for what we have here. Learning English and the challenges it creates is just one of several hardships many are facing in a new land. They are eager to learn and work so hard every day! Our diverse classroom has blossomed into a caring, positive and SAFE haven for these learners who strive to read. The challenges my students face humbles me and I hope that I can better provide them with a rich class library to encourage independent and partner reading. In order to succeed, they need to read. And my students WILL read!
