The materials listed will help foster early literacy skills to my disadvantaged first graders. This includes books on their level, sight word games and flash cards, letter formation practice, a CD player to listen to books on tape. Also, a mailbox to provide organization and structure to the classroom. Students will have a place to call their own. We will be more of a community. Students will feel safe. Students will feel loved. Students will cherish these new supplies that are given for their benefit. Each of the items will be extremely beneficial to the lives and education of my students.
