My students suffered greatly being home due to Covid learning and are two years or more behind in reading. I do not have all the necessary materials in my classroom to support the wide-range of students I instruct daily in my 3rd-5th, English and Bilingual classes. I rely on technology as a resource with my students.
My student are visual learners. They learn best when instruction is direct and through the use of visual aides. Having a Portable Interactive White Board allows me to demonstrate/model how to use best practices when learning the various reading and writing skills. It also gives me a chance to show students how to use computer applications during this digital age.
