The more students are immersed in reading the higher they will achieve academically. I spend time reading to my students daily and carefully handpick books that I know will be engaging! Through reading books aloud to my students they are able to have the most authentic conversations focused on their understanding and comprehension. These types of moments in my classroom are invaluable. The books on my list will offer a variety of uses for different content areas throughout our curriculum. Some will provide opportunities for building a classroom community, others will teach personal lessons, and all will pull in readers who've yet to discover their passion for reading. Help me spread the love for reading in my classroom and inspire my students daily through these astounding texts!
