The Breakout EDU kit contains a box with a collection of locks, hidden contraptions, timers, keys, and other “diversion hardware” where students use teamwork, problem solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting by presenting participants with challenges that ignite their natural drive to problem-solve. Using the Breakout EDU kit, students apply problem solving strategies through real-world application, and they use collaboration to get through the given task. The Breakout EDU box will allow our students the opportunities to learn and refine these skills in a relaxed, fun environment. Students reflect on the activity to find their strengths and talents and will allow students to build a high level of self-efficacy.
