These large, magnetic place value blocks will allow students to develop to develop a solid foundation of multiplication and division concepts. Every day we will focus in on one problem and students will be required to model the problem and answer. These large, magnetic blocks will allow students to come up and model the problem and evoke whole class discussions on strategies to solve different problems. The current blocks we use now are not magnetic and make it very difficult for the entire class to see and understand what students are talking about. Furthermore, the other math manipulatives will also help the students have a sound understanding of major mathematical concepts.
