I am very excited to include choice flexible
seating in my classroom this year. Students will be able to rock, bounce, lean and balance. Flexible seating allows students to meet their sensory needs to better focus in a more natural way. Flexible seating allows students to meet sensory needs and in return have a more calm and focused attention to achieve the goals set for each day. Including Flexible seating also provides the opportunity for students to take ownership in our class through decision making. Flexible seating allows them to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength. It will also help contribute to all around goals of helping students manage their behavior and needs in an appropriate and productive manner.
