I teach a variety of students. General education and exceptional education learners in one classroom with varying lexile scores and abilities. Learning styles and speeds vary greatly. Many of my students relate better with visual aids or materials they can touch, feel and see everyday. 6th grade Social Studies explores the continents, oceans, rivers, lakes and many physical features within the continents. This rug will benefit my students greatly as it will be used to create station activities, enjoy story time and utilzed daily as a visual aid necessary for the variety of students in my classroom. I'm sure it's a piece they will gravitate towards daily.
