Currently, our district has one drying rack for PreK and so it has to be shared among 3 classrooms at 2 sites. This limits our ability to engage in painting and other 鈥渕essy鈥 art projects. With the addition of 2 drying racks, each classroom will be able to engage and explore through art on a daily basis.
In Early Childhood, it is important for children to have the opportunity to engage in open-ended art projects. Engaging in art promotes fine motor skills, motor planning, and of course, creativity.
There are many fun art projects we will be engaging in. Here are just a few: puff paint, watercolors, eye dropper drip painting, shaving cream paint, and collages with a variety of materials.
