Lemony Snicket is an incredible young adult author. His 13-book novel series, "A Series of Unfortuante Events" is written for children but has an incredible mysterious and humorous feel for all readers to enjoy. Through reading book one through four of "A Series of Unfortunate Events," my students will be able to identify with three young talented characters, much like themselves or their siblings at home. Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire go through a series of unfortunate events in this easy read, situations very similar to the events most inner city children face. Through humor and creativity, they will undeniable develop a new or existing passion for reading.
