Classrooms today are still designed they way they were decades ago. Big bulky desks and chairs fill the room hindering learning, creativity, and conversation.
If the learning styles of today's students are constantly changing and evolving, then why aren't classrooms?
Students need space to do cooperative group work, practice debate tactics and have conversations. The furniture I have requested will take place of some of these desks giving the room a more spacious feel. The new furnishings provide students places to work together and can be easily moved as needed to accommodate different activities.
It is proven that flexible classroom environments benefit student learning outcomes.
