I'm a firm believer that kids who enjoy their surroundings are more successful learners. Spicing up my classroom will create a fun learning environment for my students. I strive to have flexible seating, bright colors, and plants in my room to liven it and the kids up. A fun/organized classroom equals engaged learners! I teach in a district that has a poverty rate of 65%, and these students often come to school worried about home life causing them to struggle with focus. I believe that having different seating options and a good organization system will help make my classroom an escape for kids who have a tough home life.
