Most of my students with language needs and the rest of the students can benefit from the use of technology. Incorporating technology within classrooms increases students' motivation to learn and helps personalize lessons to accommodate for one's individual needs.
In addition, technology would help my students with language needs to thrive academically and keep up with their peers, while it will also help students achieve additional - unexpected rewards.
Another aspect of bringing tablets into the classrooms is that they are multi-sensory, meaning that students can take the learning approach that makes the most sense for them.
The tablets allow students to immediately and independently start taking charge of their learning—at their own pace and tailored to their specific needs. It can become almost any tool students need—a camera, a translator, a book, a drawing canvas, a voice recorder—and so much more.
