It's another great year to study space! Please help inspire my first and second-grade students to become future astronauts and engineers by providing them the opportunity to build and launch model rockets. A model rocket launch is an exciting way to teach students lasting, connected lessons about physical science, engineering, and math.
Students will each build a model rocket and will learn how to prepare rockets for launch.
During this process, students will learn about force, motion, lift, and thrust. They will also practice using measurements and following directions to build something. We will then put on a rocket launch for the rest of the school. It's always a fun way to get students excited about space.
