How will these materials make a difference in our students lives? It would change their world. Our students (over 800) will be able to use them when they are in the writing lab. We have 2 labs with 30 computers in each. The students will be able to excel using the headphones with a mic by using the speech to type, watch educational videos, listen to books and testing/ESL.
I have students who can only use the speech to type program to help get their words on paper because they are unable to physically type or write.
We have other students who use the headphones to listen to educational videos and books. This helps the students write about what they are learning.
We also have testing (TELPAS) and ESL throughout the year and they need to be able the listen and respond by using the headphones with the mic.
Our kiddos thrive on learning and being the best even though their circumstances at home are tough. Our students only have access to computers and headphones at our school. Making these headphones valuable to each and every student. It would truly mean the world to the students and all the staff memebers.
