These dramatic play items will help my students use their creativity and imagination as they pretend to go camping. These little people will be developing valuable social skills that they will carry throughout their academic careers as well as their lifetimes as they practice sharing, turn taking and taking on roles. They will expand their vocabularies as they have hands-on experience with new items such as binoculars, fishing vests, and lanterns. We will also be incorporating literacy through reading books about camping, making nature checklists, "cooking" trail mix together using a recipe, and creating nature maps.
