Currently, our school does not have a location dedicated to sensory. Our sensory area is located in my classroom. There are many different activities and individuals in my classroom at one time.
Providing tools for sensory regulation is very important for students with autism. The light table and sensory tools will provide my students with a structured and appropriate way to meet their sensory needs.
My students will greatly benefit from dividers in our classroom. The larger dividers will help to create sections in our classroom to assist students with distinguishing between tasks and responsibilities. The personal dividers will assist students with focus on their tasks. Both types of dividers will assist students with sensory overload.
