Students will write stories inspired by a range of engaging children's books as we support their developing literacy. Traditional notebooks are much less expensive, but don't help little ones enter the world of print in a comfortable way. Emerging writers depend more on drawing to tell their stories, but still need to be encouraged to try written language. Unfortunately, a page full of lines is intimidating to little ones.
With the Mead Primary notebooks, students will write about their lives by starting with drawings on the top part of the page, and then learning how to write accompanying text.
Because 74% of our students are classified as eligible for free and reduced price lunch, it is a burden for many of our parents to be expected to purchase more expensive brands, even when they make a difference like these do.
