Within my classroom, I want to create a community of learners in which students are actively constructing their learning. Each of these materials will be used to help engage my students in play based learning experiences.
With these materials, I can enrich my students day with fun and meaningful activities. Whether it be through morning work, stations, or free choice centers, my students will be using these materials to learn through play. Things like Legos, K'nex, magnetic tile, playdough, and putty are not only fun materials to play with, but they also serve to build foundational skills used in a variety of different subjects.
And best of all, these materials will be used not only in my first year of teaching, but also in all the years to come!
