High school students are growing both physically and mentally and should not be confined to a small, hard desk for close to 7 hours a day. Having the ability to sit in different positions and see from different parts of the classroom will help keep them engaged and allow them to feel more at home in the classroom.
These seating options will give my students choice and flexibility, which shows them that they are valued and that their comfort is key to their learning success. I have selected stools, stadium seats, and cushions. They will also allow me to fit more students into my room comfortably and allow me to move around to help meet their individual educational needs.
