The demographic of my school features a high population of low socioeconomic families. By creating a room with flexible seating, I hope to provide comfort and the feeling of safety to a group of kids who may not have those feelings at home. In my class, students will have the opportunity to choose a space that they feel they can work best in. Whether it be at a traditional desk, on the floor with a lap desk, or bouncing in a ball, when students feel comfortable, they are able to focus on their academics more consistently. By having our seating options funded for our classroom, we are giving students an opportunity to explore and expand their minds!
