This project is designed to be a LEGO scale model of our school. Students will measure the campus and the buildings, create blueprints of the school, and create a scale factor to reproduce the campus in LEGOs. The project is designed to help students understand ratio and proportions, geometry, measurement, and budgeting. These skills can assist students of all skill levels. It will help students design a blueprint and figure out the scale factor based on the number of LEGOs available. It will also assist students on using the blueprints to create and build the item. The model is anticipated to be approx. six foot by six foot but the students will be the one deciding how big their model will be. It will be a whole grade activity and sectioned between the different classes and groups.
