Magnifying glasses, a scale, bug sorting, sensory beads will provide materials to work hands-on with a variety of learning objectives in mind. Our classroom needs these supplies to help to build our Science Center.
Through the use of these materials, students can observe objects from the world around them, sort and classify them, and make connections in an engaging and meaningful way. Bringing the outside in this fall, we will investigate leaves, compare the weights of tree rings, rocks, and other objects we find. We will expand on this further as we move through other studies based upon the students' interests. The sensory beads serve yet another purpose as students explore they meet their need for sensory input and are better able to focus and engage in activities.
