All of our students want to be able to learn through play during their lives. My classroom library and dramatic play areas are places that my students really enjoy. Having props in both centers is needed. Students will use the pretend items to help with their life skills development.
Using your imagination is essential to childhood development. The items will help with students social, emotional and cognitive development. The dramatic play/ pretend center aids in higher level thinking skills, oral language development, proper engagement, problem solving and an abundance of other skills necessary in childhood.
