To help students learn to love to read, I read one book a term with my students. We will listen to the audiobook; however, it is important for students to have a physical copy of the book as well to follow along.
This book will improve the reading ability and critical thinking capacity of my students. They will learn important reading and analysis techniques that will empower them in their future learning. Becoming better readers will directly help them in all of their classes. Even more important, students will learn how to academically talk about difficult topics and themes, such as racism and discrimination.
