Students with significant support needs are highly diverse learners with extensive needs. We have two buildings in our school that serve students with significant support needs. These students require a wide variety of approaches and supports to demonstrate their knowledge and skills. This project will provide a coping mechanism when their environment becomes too stimulating. Weighted blankets can help soothe a student while learning. Fidget toys to help them briefly take a mental break so they can refocus. These tools can help our students explore, learn, and help calm them down: effectively keeping them focused at school for the day.
