By exposing my bilingual students to a variety of books in their own language, they will develop a lifelong joy of reading.
Having a classroom library with books in their own language, will help them choose an age appropriate title that will create joy and; as they grow, will help them become successful independent readers by having the opportunity to choose their own books.
By helping me create this classroom library, I will be able to provide my students with a diverse number of titles that will create and develop an interest in reading.
This classroom library books' will also work as a "take home project" so that parents/guardians have resources available to read to their kids and further discuss the parts of the book and story elements.
