My students will use calculators when doing their order of operations, exponents, rates, graphing and so much more. My students rock at doing things by hand but we are at a point of working for quality, not quantity. I want my students to stay focused and fired up about new material instead of bogged down with things they already know. My goal is to encourage my small-town students to chase their dreams into math and STEM careers without hesitation. I worked in the civil engineering field before becoming a teacher. I want the students from my hometown to feel confident in their abilities and to reach for the stars!
