These materials would allow students to increase their comprehension and excitement in reading. The comprehension unit helps differential between learning styles of students. In addition, I can help students with fluency, vocabulary, and grammar. This unit will assist in setting up stations and interactive games. I especially like the close reading activity that is included. This is a difficult skill for 4th graders to learn. However, this step by step activity allows students to practice this skill with relevant passages. The white boards are good for quick formative assessment opportunities. I can gain quick assessment information from students to guide my instruction.
