In kindergarten, it is hard for students to sit still. So why make them? Some of my little ones work better and stay more focused when they can wiggle. I often allow my squirmy students to stand while they work, but I want to give them the option to sit comfortably. I’m also looking to add comfortable seating options for my reading time.
When students are given more choices and control over where and how they learn, they become much more actively engaged in learning! They are happy and focused and I am able to teach without interruptions. It’s a win win!
