Materials provide students with hands-on visuals of US History. These items will connect with other resources to give students a better understanding of how history is what we know about time from different perspectives and how the past is what really happened. They can learn about how point of view influences history and how change and common humanity unite and learn from the past. In the age of technology, students need hands-on connections to connect learning to artifacts, locale, cultures, and their own lives and future. These resources would give 5th graders a format to build skills to look at "hard history" and the purpose of our country's history.
