Some students don't have the luxury of being able to bring snacks to school or buy them through the cafeteria. I teach in a low income area and students sometimes don't get as many nutrients as they need through healthy options. Parents are not financially able to provide snacks, paper or something as simple as ear buds so that students will be more productive.
Students look to me as their teacher to help them with what their parents can't provide and as a teacher I feel obligated to provide as much as possible to ensure that my students are productive, happy students.
