Howdy! I'm Ms. White, a 6th year teacher, & first year 2nd grade teacher!
My students come from an array of familial backgrounds and communities, all with a willingness to learn. Part of our day-to-day projects will include taking pictures and documenting a lot of what they do. We will later use these pictures to create portrait books for them to later reflect on and see their amazing growth and change.
While there is work, there should also be play. Short brain breaks are vital to the learning process, and should be highly considered. My students will have a plethora of learning activities in their center rotations. This being said, having some of these essentials already available will help alleviate some of the strain some parents are facing.
Lastly, my students will utilize the items in our class treasure chest as incentives for their behavior and academic progress!
